But now they are older and need privacy. And then there's also the fact that there are a lot more kids. The Dada and I are now outnumbered. The drawers are being taken over by kids toothbrushes. "Little Miss" has an entire drawer devoted to her hair stuff. All the adult stuff is being pushed aside to make room.
And of course there's also THIS problem. The problem where I will walk into the bathroom and find this:

You know what the funny thing is?
I called it.
Right here, I said it would happen. I just knew it. But where was I to put it all? There is nowhere in our home that is safe from our little Tornado. CamCam has access to it all. And he has curiosity on his side.
So yes, that's my new liquid eyeliner all over CamCam.
Looks like he had fun, doesn't it?

I wasn't even mad. Or upset. I knew it was only a matter of time. At least it was only one thing. It could have been all the new makeup.
Makeup is deceptively difficult to remove! I tried to wash his hands first, but the stuff wouldn't budge. I thought the Desitin incident from a few days earlier would help with this process, but apparently it had all rubbed off. Finally I put him in the tub and The Dada spent quite a bit of time washing up CamCam with a combination of baby wipes, soap and shampoo. It turned my tub brown. I had to soak it in bleach. CamCam also rubbed it throughout my makeup drawer. I had to throw out hair clips because I couldn't get the makeup off. There was a baby proofing cabinet lock in the drawer that is still tinged brown because I couldn't get it all off.
All of which, obviously, made me wonder.
What on earth am I putting on my face?!?!?!?

Styling two-year-old. Glad he didn't find the electric clippers or he'd have a styling do to match.
ReplyDeleteI swear, between the two of us, we could have an entire blog about the things toddlers put on their faces. I found my oldest in bed with chocolate smeared all over her face. My makeup has been raided many times. Always when I have something brand new.....oh, what great pics we have for when they grow up!
ReplyDeleteYIKES!!! I'm surprised eye makeup remover didn't work!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and thank you for visiting me on my special SITS Day!
Ahh, I remember the days... I have three kids and my last two were twin boys. They got into incredible amounts of trouble! I wish at that time I had blogged so I could have a record of it all. I did take some incriminating pictures though :) Enjoy him now, as you know he'll grow up so fast! Cheers, SITSta!
ReplyDeleteThat eyeliner is some pretty tough stuff! Well, at least he didn't use it to color on your walls or anything right?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend...buying new eye liner!

I have soo been there did that. It seems no matter how much room you have. There isn't enough when you have a very inquisitive 2 year old.
ReplyDeleteToo cute! I mean, I'm sure the cleaning process wasn't so "cute" but mr. man looks like he had a fabulous time. :)
ReplyDeleteI saw your blog on SITS so I wanted to drop by and say, "Hello". I'll add your blog to my "follow" list so I can keep up with your adventures. I have four children in my household and would love to adopt a number more...perhaps one day. For now I concentrate on my fantastic four. :) Well, it was nice to "meet" you. Best wishes in the new year.
Kindest regards,
Brook
